Bayes Coachlines is based on Auckland's North Shore, we operate 46 vehicles ranging from top of the line tour coaches through to school and charter vehicles in both the North and South Islands. We provide all types of services and would love to discuss any requirements you have for up coming trips. We deal with Golf Clubs, helping to organise Golfing Tours, and Youth Clubs for any type of Day Trip or camps, our local senior citizens on their Day Trip and Away Tours. DAY ONE – Friday December 23
After the usual pick-ups from your home or a central meeting point we head South with a morning tea stop at BP/Autobahn Drury. From there we will continue on to Morrinsville for a walk through this lovely farming town, and to check out the “Herd of Cows” which are spread throughout the town, show-casing their farming history and heritage … see how many of the 42 you can find! From here we will continue our journey out to the East Coast with a lunch stop in Tauranga. Then our afternoon is spent travelling along the sunny seaside as we pass through Pikowai and Matata. We will stop for afternoon tea and some time in Whakatane, before we continue our journey across the ranges and in to Gisborne.

DAY TWO – Saturday December 24
After the usual hearty cooked breakfast, today will be spent checking out the local area. After a city tour, we will visit the renowned Tairawhiti Museum and Art Gallery. Lunch can be enjoyed at the café there, before we depart for the internationally recognised Eastwoodhill Arboretum, where we will be treated to a guided tour of their immense collection of over 25,000 species of exotic and native trees, shrubs and climber plants. Then we will travel back into town for some leisure time to enjoy the shops or other galleries or just relax and put our feet up ready for Christmas Day!

DAY THREE - Merry Christmas
CHRISTMAS DAY Time to relax and forget all the hassles of the year as we work up an appetite to do justice to our scrumptious Christmas feasting. An opportunity will be given for all those who would like to attend church in the morning (your driver will arrange this at your request). An amazing Christmas feast will be enjoyed together at the hotel. After lunch we will take a short afternoon drive out and about, and enjoy some city sightseeing. We will then give you some time back in Gisborne to view the gardens and boardwalk, before we head back to the hotel where you can enjoy an afternoon siesta, or take a swim and prepare to share in our Christmas dinner this evening. DAY FOUR – Monday December 26
Today after a leisurely start, we will explore the East Cape coastline. We take a drive up the magnificent coast as far as Te Araroa. There is some stunning scenery and incredible beaches to be seen today. We will visit the historic and picturesque Tikitiki, and see the famous St. Mary's Church. Lunch today will be included at the wonderful Te Puka Tavern in Tokomaru Bay. We then continue our leisurely drive back down to Tolaga Bay with time to check out the wharf and have afternoon tea, then we head back in to Gisborne.
Dinner tonight will be at the hotel. [BLD]
DAY FIVE – Tuesday December 27
This morning after another full cooked breakfast, we start our journey heading for home. We drive back through the ranges towards Opotiki, then turn inland and head in towards Rotorua. In Rotorua we will take some time for lunch down by the lakeside, and then a visit to Rainbow Springs. This is a great attraction, with everything Kiwi from the trout pools, native bush settings and walks and now even a log flume ride if you dare, along with native animals too…From here it’s just a short afternoon journey across the Mamaku Ranges and in to Hamilton, to arrive in the late afternoon.

DAY SIX – Wednesday December 28
Unfortunately, today is our last day. It’s time to head for home; this morning we will spend time at the Hamilton Gardens, this sensational cluster of international themed gardens and lakes will blow your mind, with their creativity and detail. We then head north, with a lunch stop at Mercer before we get you home in the afternoon. We will have time at Mercer where you can collect some fruit or any other necessary items before returning home. [B]
